Ma Vie Aixoise

There was a time when I called Aix-en-Provence, France my home. Five months of rosé, fresh baguettes and three cappuccinos a day. It is where my first blog was born to capture the most exciting and "French" moments of my time abroad for my friends and family back home. What started as a highlight of my travels and funny stories in France turned into a way to process the cultural differences and questions I encountered every day.

Every once in a while I take a step back in time to replenish my love for France, and remember why I need to go back someday. For now, tuning into my daily "France-Inter: Le sept-neuf" podcast, reading Le Monde on a Sunday afternoon at the Harold Washington Library, and devouring my favorite French novel (Currently Partie Commune by Camille Bordas) will have to suffice.

I hope these posts inspire you to:

a. Travel abroad more
b. Maybe live abroad for a time
c. Fall in love with France (perhaps not as much as I did, but you can't walk the streets of Paris without a little tug at your heart strings)

Gros bisous,
SommerAnn
